The bet

The tooling is fractured — one product for SQL, another for Python, another for dashboards, another for AI, another for sharing. Each context switch costs five minutes and a piece of momentum. Orchid puts them in one window.

Local-first

Projects start on your machine. Files are plain YAML you can read, version, and diff. Credentials sit in your OS keychain. Nothing leaves until you publish — and when you do, you choose the audience.

Review-first agents

AI agents draft analysis; you approve. Every tool call is logged with inputs and outputs, every write operation pauses for explicit consent. The IDE is the source of truth — the agent assists, it doesn't overwrite.
